Nandha Periyasamy is an Indian film director, who has worked in Tamil cinema.
==Career==
During his period as an assistant director, Nandha Periyasamy shared was a room mate of director N. S. Chakravarthy to make a police thriller film titled ''Mahaa'' with Ajith Kumar, Sneha and Kiran Rathod in the lead roles. However, the failure of the producer's ''Red'' (2002), meant that ''Mahaa'' was shelved after a month of shoot. His first film ''Oru Kalluriyin Kathai'' (2005) was a college romance starring Arya and Sonia Agarwal and opened to average reviews, with a critic noting "the story of Nandha Periyasamy is unbelievable and the narration is slow paced."〔http://www.sify.com/movies/oru-kalooriyin-kathai-review-tamil-13932256.html〕 The film had a lukewarm response at the box office, and the director then wanted to do a film that would strike an instant chord with the audience.
